With the explosion of diverse medical cannabis programs across the country (in addition to legalized recreational marijuana in selected states), there is a need for increased understanding of the potential benefits and risks of cannabis. This program will briefly review the pharmacology of cannabinoids and then dive into an evidence-based discussion of the known medical benefits of cannabinoids along with emerging concerns with novel compounds in this unregulated legal environment.

Attendees will be able to identify the following:

  1. Describe the unique retrograde nature of endogenous cannabinoid signaling and how phytocannabinoids exploit that signaling.
  2. Differentiate medical conditions for which phytocannabinoids may have evidence-based clinical uses from those lacking such evidence.
  3. Identify potential health risks associated with the use of cannabis and unregulated cannabinoids.

*No refunds if canceled in 3 days or less
