Love in the Time of COVID: 365 Days in a Social Bubble – Stir Crazy or Crazy in Love?
March 22, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
| Free – $15.00Description:
COVID-19 has created drastic changes in the ways that families live and function – some couples are thriving while others are faltering. This program will explore the impact of COVID-19 on couples, including a discussion of both the difficulties that couples face as well as the potential opportunities for relationship enhancement and growth. The emphasis of this presentation will be on the identification of COVID-19’s impact on couples, conceptualization of pre-existing dysfunctional patterns, repair of ruptures, and the development of a roadmap to help couples navigate the “new normal” the pandemic has created.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will be able to and be able to identify the following:
1. List multiple areas in which couples have been impacted by COVID-19 and identify pre-existing dysfunctional patterns.
2. Identify how individual, cultural, and socio-economic differences can impact a couple’s response to COVID-19 and the subsequent changes in lifestyle and routines.
3. Identify strategies and interventions to repair ruptures, enhance communication and improve relationship satisfaction.
